More Able and Talented

At Ysgol Dyffryn Aman we recognise that all students require support and a tailored approach to learning, whatever their abilities. Therefore, we promote differentiated learning in the classroom to ensure that all students are encouraged to fulfil their potential.

More Able and Talented students are provided opportunities inside the classroom to develop their work to its fullest. This is supplemented by a programme of support at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 designed to widen their horizons and to inspire them to apply for the best courses and jobs they can.

As part of this we work closely with the Carmarthenshire SEREN network which is designed specifically to promote aspirations amongst the most able students.

We also have developed excellent relationships with a number of universities including Jesus College (Oxford), New College (Oxford), Churchill College (Cambridge) and Swansea University, all of whom support us in providing additional experiences for our More Able and Talented students.
