Thank you for your understanding regarding the decision to close the school today.
As it stands, rainfall has begun and temperatures have started to rise. However, there remains a concern that the rain may wash away the grit and then freeze overnight. There is still standing snow on the school site, and although pathways to each building have been gritted, this could pose a further risk overnight, particularly with an ice warning in place.
The intention is to open the school tomorrow however an assessment will take place early in the morning. If the decision is made to close the school, staff and parents will be informed as early as possible via Class Charts announcements , the school website and social media.
